Newark Symphony Hall, a historically designated concert hall and community cultural center, has enjoyed a long and rich history as one of New Jersey's oldest and largest showcases for arts education and entertainment programming. Remarkable for its classic architecture and its stature in the community, the Hall's deep roots in the history and culture of Newark dates back to over eight decades. It would only be natural for us to provide our community with the continuum of inspirational programming throughout the year that promotes support, unity and cultural awareness.

The Children’s Performing Arts Academy (CPAA) & Community Theatre is evolving and we invite you to be a part of this awesome new vision! We are now the ARTS and COMMUNITY THEATRE at NEWARK SYMPHONY HALL. Newark Symphony Hall is providing a platform for performers of all ages to be a part of something great to showcase their gifts and talents while bringing the community together. We are bridging the gap through intergenerational theatre.

The Arts and Community Theatre at Newark Symphony Hall program offers our participants, both children and adults, an amazing opportunity to build skills in acting, public speaking, vocal music and dance. These classes are in preparation for a fully-staged musical performed right on our stage. Our unique method of integrating performing arts instruction through production rehearsals maximizes skill building for all involved in the production. Enrollment is limited to encourage focused attention on each novice's growth and time is always of the essence, so don't wait to register. All are welcomed to audition, however, only registered participants receive a part in the production.

We look forward to you living out your dreams on our stage. Come be a part of something GREAT!
