Terrace Ballroom
Located on the lower level at Newark Symphony Hall, the Terrace Ballroom is one of metro-Newark’s largest meeting/banquet spaces also ideal for dances, dance classes, movement workshops, fashion shows and wedding receptions.
The Ballroom's two full-service bars create the perfect setting for cabaret performances, jazz programs and other small concerts. This large open space features a sunken dance floor with an elevated stage and two side "terraces".

Stage is carpeted.  Red velour front curtain.
Dance Floor

62 ft. across from stage left to stage right.
73 ft. from the front of stage to the rear of the venue.

Promenade Dimensions: There are promenades stage left and stage right, four feet above the dance floor.  16 ft. wide and in excess of 75 ft. in depth.  These can be used for additional seating or dining purposes. In addition there are two promenades house right and house left in the rear of the venue 26 ft. x 20 ft. that can also be used for seating or dining purposes with bar facilities on either side.
Lighting: 12 Source-4 lekos front of house providing three separate color washes, (pink, blue and no color).
4 Par-64 cans 3 ft. downstage of stage apron providing apron lighting, (no color). 4 Par-64 cans onstage each side of center providing backlight, (pink and blue).
2 Altman lekos onstage each side of center providing sidelight, (no color).
NOTE:  House does not provide any colored gel.
48 LMI 2.4k dimmers, 32 working at the time of this writing.

2 Satellite II spotlights can be available although they are stored elsewhere.
Power: 600 amp power disconnect stage left for additional power if required.  Rentor will need 35 ft. of cable to reach power panel.
4 separate 20 amp circuits stage left (Edison outlets).
6 separate 20 amp circuits stage right (Edison outlets).
Dressing Rooms: Directly behind stage are 6 9 ft. X 9 ft. dressing rooms accessed from stairways stage left and stage right.
Restroom facilities are available in the ballroom on the stage left promenade.
Miscellaneous: Theater provides 20 4 ft. X 8 ft. risers adjustable from 8 ins. to 32 ins.
(Suitable for constructing runway for fashion shows).
These risers are also available for the Concert Hall.
6 ft. baby grand piano onstage.
Load-In: All load-ins from stage left.
Small DJ set-ups can be hand carried down stairs, anything larger can be brought down on the freight elevator and rolled down 60 ft. hallway with 4 lift jacks provided by theater.
