Soul Line Dance Party: Black History Month
Friday, February 9, 2018
Newark Symphony Hall presents
Soul Line Dance Party: Black History Month
Terrace Ballroom
6pm-11pm
$5 Before 7pm / $8 After 7pm

We are celebrating BLACK HISTORY MONTH, which is an annual observance and celebration of African-American's contributions to the world's history.

Squads decide your colors (red, black, green). If you do not currently represent a line dance squad just choose what colors you want to wear.

Visit the African-American History Month website for more information at www.africanamericanhistorymonth.gov.

We are also bringing awareness to AMERICAN HEART MONTH. We love to line dance, so we don't consider it exercise because it's fun, but that's the beauty of it... so, we're having a "LET ME SEE SOME FOOTWORK: FITBIT CHALLENGE." Check in with the assigned Newark Symphony Hall representative with your current FitBit steps and pay the $10 sign-up fee. Whoever has the most steps by a TBA time will win the pot.

Visit the American Heart Association website for more information.

At 7pm, Maurice presents a groundbreaking performance with New Jersey's up-and-coming young dancers that addresses gun violence and other social issues in a creative, artistic interpretation.
