Rhoda Scott Returns to the Terrace Ballroom

Rhoda Scott makes her return to Newark Symphony Hall’s Terrace Ballroom.

On Saturday, November 21st, the City of Newark and the honorable Mayor Ras J. Baraka proudly present world-renowned jazz organist Rhoda Scott in the Blues People Festival International Organ Jam.

Rhoda Scott, originally from New Jersey and living in France for most of her 40-year career, is one of the world’s most celebrated jazz organists. Scott’s style combines the precision of classical music, the swinging groove of jazz and blues, and the deep, rich soul of African-American spirituals. The Blues Peoples Festival International Organ Jam featured a special guest performance by young blind phenomenon Matthew Whitaker Jazz organ genius.
