Dottie Peoples Is Gospel to the Roots

On Saturday, October 24th, Newark Symphony Hall and the Newark Symphony Hall Ministers Council humbly presented the 2nd Annual Gospel at the Roots Concert in the Sarah Vaughan Concert Hall featuring Gospel recording legend Dottie Peoples.

Peoples has always had a love for people and a passion for sharing the gospel through music, and when she takes the stage she has a joy that is absolutely contagious. You can’t help but feel that God himself is smiling when Dottie sings. Peoples is on a mission to reach people for Christ and that interaction with listeners is a precious connection to her which made the legend perfect for this year’s concert.

The program also featured performances by Rev. Dr. Perry Simmons and the Majestics of Abyssinian Baptist Church, Wings of Joy of Jersey City, New Jersey, the Greater Baltimore, MD Choral Union of the Dr. Thomas A. Dorsey Convention and Minister Donnie Harper & the Voices of the Good Neighbor Baptist Church.

The 2nd Annual Gospel at the Roots Concert was proudly sponsored by Investors Bank.
